If the name Adfab means nothing to you now, that may soon change.
The company was the brainchild of its managing director Edina Worthington,
who after twenty years experience within the advertising field decided
to set up and “run her own show!”
Adfab opened its doors for business in June 2003 and immediately
secured a commission to produce the official programme for the Plymouth
Guildhall Bridal Show. This excellently produced publication was
well received by show exhibitors who were pleased to find themselves
going into a full colour glossy programme and one that was offering
them space at prices which were well within their budgets.
Edina says “I tried to set the costs to cover all budgets
from the big hotels with more substantial budgets to the little
one man shows where they may not even have an advertising budget
as such. I also wanted to produce something people would want to
keep, and so a lot of time and care was put into this project”.
Not one for letting the grass grow under her feet, Edina has already
secured another commission, this time to produce the official show
programme for the forthcoming bridal show planed for January 2004
at Plymouth’s Devonshire Health & Fitness Club.
The publication Dream Weddings has also commissioned Adfab to contribute
to its pages, and Edina is currently working on the Devon edition
which is due out January 2004. Dream Weddings is a quality wedding
magazine distributed throughout the South of England with a 6-month
shelf life. It is not sold through the usual retail outlets, but
is given away free through hotels, bridal shops and photographers
etc; in fact, all organisations with an interest in weddings. It
is also given away at al bridal shows throughout the South of England.
Edina is an extremely versatile lady, with experience in all forms
of advertising from newspapers and magazine campaigns to outdoor
media, and her knowledge and experience is sure to see Adfab become
a success story.
