PLANNING YOUR WEDDING

When it comes to the perfect wedding day you can never start soon enough or be too well organised . Investigate below for some ideas of what to do and when to do it.
2 Weeks Before

By this time you should have booked, bought,
organised or done the following:
wedding venue reception venue marquee
evening venue accommodation caterers
florist photographer videographer
chosen music honeymoon insurance
written vows stationery transport
wedding dress invitations wedding gift list
banns rings music band
accessories drinks newspaper
dress hire

Things to do - at 2 Weeks

Time now to sit down and draw up a timetable and schedule for the big day.

Decide who is to do which tasks and ensure everybody knows what they are supposed to do and when to do it.

Call anyone who hasn't replied to the invitation.

Finalise Guest List

Inform caterers and reception venue of final number of guests

Decide seating arrangements for the reception.

Buy table decorations if required

Wear your wedding shoes around the house for a few hours to make them comfortable on the wedding day. Sore feet can really put a dampener on the day.

Arrange for the wedding party to try on all the dress hire outfits.

Carry out at least two full wedding rehearsals.

Begin to finalise the Groom's speech and make sure the best man and Father of the Bride are also progreesing with theirs.

Check the transport for the guests. If transport is being provided, make sure people know from where it will leave and where it will arrive.

Buy and wrap gifts for Bridesmaids and ushers

Make arrangements with the best man or head bridesmaid to have all hired clothing and other items returned.

Give wedding venue seating plan to ushers.

Order of service to be given to those who need it.
