Ask the Aunties about...

...Gifts

Who gets gifts?

Q. Would like to know if it is ok to insert gift list cards in the evening invitations as well as the day invites or is that being a bit cheeky???

A1. In reply to your query about inserting gift list into the evening invites - the gift list has usually been requested before you get to this stage but you could always insert a little note explaining that you have had numerous requests for the list so you are popping it in for all those who wish to see it. Otherwise evening guests, if they haven't already asked to see your gift list, will usually bring a gift along of their choice anyway.

A2.You will know almost everyone you are inviting, friends and family. Do you feel hesitant about putting a gift list in your evening invitations? If you are not comfortable then I would follow my instinct.

Gift lists really come down to personal preference; for your evening guests, maybe you can give them a different selection of say smaller items or less expensive items that you would like. That way you might worry less about it, and it would take some pressure off your guests.

Do what you are comfortable with.
