Can you please tell me the reasoning behind the chimney sweep at the wedding as a sign of good luck?

The tradition started about 200 years ago when a chimney sweep jumped in front of the King's horses and carriage which had run out of control .
The grateful King then proclaimed that all chimney sweeps are good luck bearers and shortly afterwards began to be invited to weddings to kiss the bride for luck.
